Admire Macheka FCCA, ACMA, CGMA

Admire is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a holder of a Bachelor of Science honours degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University (UK). He started his career as an Articles Clerk in Harare in December 2003 and has worked in different industries since then including Healthcare, Professional Services, Financial Services and NGO sector. Over the years Admire has gained a variety of skills including internal auditing, financial accounting, management accounting and financial management through the various roles he has occupied in the course of his career. Currently he is employed as a Senior Finance Manager responsible for four business units at one of the Big 4 Audit Firms in Johannesburg. Admire lectures P2 and F2 of the CIMA syllabus and is passionate about developing young professionals to reach their potential.

Paddington Muskwe CA(SA), ACCA

Paddington is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA). He is a passion driven individual who puts his heart into his work, lecturing comes as second nature to him. He is currently working as a Senior Audit Manager in a medium size audit firm called Levitt Kirson Chartered Accountants. Paddington is also a board member of a Non-Profit Organisation which focuses on child welfare where he serves as the Treasurer of the Board, previously he has worked in the banking industry in Zimbabwe, were he was involved in lending, debt recovery and compliance. He is currently lecturing ACCA- FM (F9) , Audit and Assurance and Advanced (AA-F7) Audit and Assurance (AAA-P7) & CIMA Financial Reporting Modules.

Noel Gurure ACMA, CGMA, B Com Hons. Accounting

Noel is ACMA/CGMA-qualified and one of our foremost expert lecturers in International Financial Reporting (IFRS), having taught it over the last 4 years, with exceptional student pass rates and producing top students in the country; having been an SA Top 5 student himself. He currently serves as Finance Manager of Ilizwe Logistics and is also running his own Accounting Services consulting practice. His previous roles, during which he developed a strong passion and intimate knowledge of International Financial Reporting was when he served as Head Office Accountant for Amalgamated Motor Corporation (Mitsubishi Motors) where he was involved with very complex consolidations, before moving to serve the International Business School (IBS) as Finance Manager. He then returned to Amalgamated Motor Corporation as Finance Manager responsible for 15 branches and Head Office operations and was subsequently promoted to Finance Executive, and to the Board of Directors of the company as Company Secretary. Noel currently lectures CIMA Strategic Level (E3, P3, F3 & Strategic Case Study) and ACCA - SBR.

Lance Gasela CPA, CMA, (ACMA,CGMA), MCOM

Lance Gasela is a qualified CIMA member and CPA Canada Member with a Masters degree in Financial Management and currently a Doctoral candidate at the same university. Lance is a Financial Management Professional, with over 16 years’ experience in financial Services, mining, automotive and logistics sectors. Lance is currently employed within the FirstRand Africa Finance team as a Financial Reporting Manager. The key areas of focus are management reporting, system architecture and process design within a financial governed environment and supervision of the full accounting cycle and financial statement preparation. This entails solutions recommendation, project management, stakeholder engagement, process implementation and change management. With an exemplary track record within various companies in South Africa, Lance possesses a commitment to developing and maintaining mutually beneficial client and stakeholder relationships. Utilizing expert communication, planning, implementation and supervisory skills, he establishes and upholds overall efficiency in service delivery, thereby promoting the company to its best advantage.

Edmore Chinhakwe FCCA, ACMA, CTA, SAICA ITC

Edmore is a full CIMA and ACCA-qualified member, he completed CTA with UNISA in 2014; and in January 2015, he passed the SAICA ITC (Board 1) in his very first attempt. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Taxation. He has years of accomplished lecturing and tutoring experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (Financial Accounting I and II) and Management Accounting -at both undergraduate and honours/postgraduate/CTA levels. He has more than 15 years’ work experience in different industries -local and international companies, and currently working for a JSE-listed company based in Johannesburg as Financial Manager. He is a past Oasis Toastmaster Club Secretary, a former CIMA accredited mentor, and served as an ACCA South Africa panel member from 2009 to 2012. Edmore lectures CTA Modules & The ITC Board Exam.

Munyaradzi Dera ACMA, CGMA,B.Sc. Honours Economics

Munya is CIMA qualified CGMA and a holder of honours degree in economics obtained from the University of Zimbabwe He started his career as a Graduate trainee at Zimpost in Zimbabwe where he rose through the ranks to become an assistant Management Accountant Munya has a passion for lecturing and have more than 10 years lecturing experience with various higher education institutions in South Africa. He has lectured in various finance and business management modules at both diploma and degree levels over the past 10 years including facilitating in several training workshops in project management, finance and cost management Munya lecturers subjects in the CIMA Financial Pillar, ACCA F7 (FR) as well as the CIMA Management Case Study.

Francis Musonda ACMA, CGMA

Fran­cis is an Asso­ciate of CIMA, ACMA, CGMA. He has worked in the Insur­ance indus­try in Zam­bia and for the First Rand Bank­ing Group, Wes­bank, as a Finan­cial Con­sul­tant for 5 years. He worked for The Envi­ron­men­tal Jus­tice Net­work­ing Forum as Finance & Admin­is­tra­tive Man­ager for 3 years as well as Man­age­ment Con­sul­tant for a vari­ety of asso­ci­a­tions in South Africa, Botswana and Zam­bia in the past 5 years. He lec­tures part-​time for Damelin, Mil­park Busi­ness School and Char­terQuest Finan­cial Train­ing Insti­tute and is a part-​time qual­i­fied exter­nal exam­iner, asses­sor and mod­er­a­tor. He cur­rently is Con­sult­ing Part­ner at Boaz Con­sult­ing, a spe­cial­ist account­ing and tax firm, in Johannesburg. He is currently lecturing ACCA PM & CIMA P1 & P2.

Willie Andongndou MBA, MDP, B.Sc. Honours Banking and Finance

Willibroad holds an MBA from Oxford Brookes University (UK) and a B.Sc. Honours in Banking and Finance. He is also a Certified IT Project Management Professional (Project +), holds the International Diploma in Professional Project Management (IDPM), Programme in Project Management (PPM), Prince2 Certified, Advance Project Management (APM), Microsoft Project 2013/16/19 Certified, a registered Assessor with the Services SETA and Certified Scrum Master with Scrum Alliance U.S.A. Currently serving as a Senior Project Management Consultant at Nedbank Group Technology South Africa. His experience includes; Senior IT Project/​Services Delivery Manager at Gijima Technology People and has managed multiple projects for Gijima seconded to Anglo American, Standard Bank SA and Microsoft SA. Admin Manager for Business in Africa, Corporate trainer for HP, Relyant /​Ellerines Holdings, His lecturing and facilitation experience includes lecturing on CIMA’s Enterprise pillar and ACCA’s Business Analysis/​Strategy modules at CharterQuest as well as lecturing for the Milpark Business School, Damelin Education Group and has authored three books and developed training manuals for corporate and academic use. He is currently lec­tur­ing on CIMA’s Enter­prise pil­lar (E1 & E2) and ACCA’s Busi­ness Analysis/​Strategy mod­ules.

Caroline Mapulanga FMAT(SA), CIMA Adv Dip MA

Caroline is a Fellow member of Accounting Technicians South Africa and a holder of a Chartered Institute Management Accountants CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting. Caroline is a mature, results driven lecturer, facilitator and management consultant who has contributed over the years towards the development of skills in individuals and the enhancement of organisational capacities in the areas of Accounting and Finance. She has been preparing students for qualifying exams on professional United Kingdom Accounting qualifications since 1998 and on Accounting Technician South Africa qualifications since 2010. To date she has participated and continues to participate in several South Africa Institute of Charted Accountants SAICA capacity building projects in Technical and Vocational Education and Training TVET colleges and selected Universities of Technology. Her over 10 years’ industry experience and more than 20 years lecturing experience is a combination that enables her bring to life in the classroom the subjects of Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. Before going to study CIMA at Kaplan Financial in Manchester United Kingdom, she taught at the Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies and the Zambia Institute for Management where she was given an award for Lecturer consistently producing good results on the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants ACCA technician course CAT. She currently lecturers Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Advanced Management Accounting on ACCA and CIMA.

Basil Rateiwa ACIS, ACCA Affiliate

Basil is an accomplished and diversified Accounting Professional with more than 20 years’ experience within the financial management environment. He has worked for Old Mutual and MBCA bank(s) among others. He is currently working as Financial Control and Accounts Payable Manager for Cell C, a large telecommunications enterprise, which is based in South Africa. Basil has lectured in finance at several colleges since 2003. He is a qualified member of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) and an affiliate of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He currently lecturers CIMA P1 & P2 and ACCA PM (F5) & AA (F8).

Charles Matumba CA(Z), CA(SA), CFA

Charles is a vibrant Chartered Accountant, with dual membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe (ICAZ) and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). Holds expertise in financial reporting, profitability/drivers analysis, financial modelling, financial &strategic planning, budgeting & forecasting, treasury management, external/internal audit management, tax planning/management, financial controls, management accounting, financial interpretation/IFRS with well-rounded experience in strategy development, change management, performance management, relationship management and business leadership. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, a clear testimony of his dedication to financial excellence. With the CFA qualification, he has acquired additional skills for example financial modelling/analysis techniques, portfolio management, investment analysis, financial due diligence and derivatives. He started his career as a trainee accountant with KPMG Zimbabwe in 2001, and rose through the ranks. He passed all his CA exams first time and was a top ten candidate in all the three exam levels in Zimbabwe. Charles relocated to South Africa in 2005 and has held various management positions as Audit Manager, Senior Audit Manager, Tax Manager, Business Controller, and Financial Controller. Charles is currently a Senior/Group Finance Manager at Wits University with oversight over group financial reporting, working capital management, financial controls, corporate financing transactions, structured finance, financial risk management, and treasury/banking operations. Charles has passion for financial learning and he is a qualified trainer, assessor and strives for excellence. He has lecturing experience for some modules for CFA , ACCA, and CA Programs.

Charles Maseko ACMA, CGMA

Charles is an established Finance professional, having obtained a BCom in Accounting and Economics from the University of Kwa-Zulu-Natal. He went on to obtain an Honours in Accounting from the same University. He went further on to study Management Accounting under The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, obtaining his Advanced Diploma and further becoming a full member of the body and obtaining the designation ACMA, CGMA. Charles lectures on our CIMA BA4 and ACCA F4 (LW) subjects.

Advent Marange CA (SA)

Advent holds a Degree in Financial Management majoring in Investments, a Degree in Theory of Accounting and Honours in Theory of Accounting from the University of Johannesburg. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Corporate Law from the University of Johannesburg. Currently, Advent is enrolled for a masters degree in International tax with the University of Pretoria. He has experience in lecturing Tax at a CTA academy at Nkonki Incorporated for the students studying their Honours in accounting with UNISA. He also served for 6 years at Nkonki Incorporated as Auditor/Accountant and Tax Consultant. He currently lectures South African Tax (ACCA F6, P6, CTA Level 1 & 2) and Auditing (ACCA & CTA).

Phillip Mokoti ACMA, CGMA, CA(SA)

Phillip is Charted Accountants South Africa (CA (SA)), Global Charted Management Accountant (CGMA) and CIMA Associate Charted Management Accountant (ACMA). He has 14 years working experience in auditing, mining, manufacturing and renewable energy sectors at multination entities . He held various positions specialising in auditing, management and reporting accounting and financial accounting also at strategic level within those entities. He gained extensive experience in management accounting and IFRS. He is currently lecturing CIMA - F1 & F2 and ACCA - TX, SBR, ATX.

Anthony Mumba is an exceptionally insightful Motivational Speaker, Business Trainer and Leadership Strategist. He is a trained Chartered Accountant and alumnae of the Copperbelt University with a Masters of Business Administration major in Finance.

Qhubekani Nkala FCCA, ACA, BCompt, RP Acc (Z)

Qhubekani is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA), a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ACA), a holder of a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences in Financial Accounting (BCompt Unisa) and a Registered Public Accountant Zimbabwe (RPAcc Z). He has 25 years’ experience with blue chip multinationals in the Auditing Profession and Banking sector. Having spent 11 years in the Auditing Profession with Ernst & Young (Zimbabwe & South Africa) and formerly Coopers & Lybrand he worked with Zimbabwe Cricket as General Manager Cricket Operations before joining Standard Bank South Africa. He has extensive experience in the field of Finance and Auditing where he was a member of the Professional Practise Group (Ernst & Young) responsible for technical support and providing input to Technical submissions for ultimate submission to the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). He is an experienced lecturer having served with Forbes Level Baker, Damelin (Randburg), Professional Accountancy Training (PAT) and Charter Quest. His focus has largely been on Auditing and Finance. He is passionate about the ACCA professional qualification which he believes prepares scholars for a world of local and international possibilities. Qhubekani is currently lecturing ACCA - AAA (P7).

Elvis Takawira Mukundwa ACCA Affiliate

Elvis is an accomplished, highly experienced lecturer with exceptional class management skills and genuine passion of helping learners achieve or realise their full potential in the Accounting field. He is professional Accountant, having attained his ACCA (UK) Membership in 2017 and also a holder of an undergraduate Bachelor of Business studies (Finance and Banking) degree from the University of Zimbabwe (Zimbabwe). He has developed expertise in Lecturing or facilitating Financial Reporting & Taxation (F1) and Management Accounting (P1) Operational modules for CIMA during my over 2 years. Elvis is endowed with the ability to bring understanding to learners due to his outstanding ability to communicate and explain. His practical experience with various industries has enabled him to be abreast of technical aspects of the modules. Elvis has worked as an Accountant (Spar Zimbabwe) and currently serves as a Finance Manager for Mzansi Fabrication (Pty) Ltd.

Mary Gloria Musuki Honours in Management Accounting

Meet Marygloria! A well-spoken, self-motivated key player in Financial and Management Accounting disciplines. She has a National Diploma in Management Accounting, (Distinction) a Bachelor’s Degree -Management Accounting and Post Graduate Diploma, Management Accounting (CTMA) from UNISA. She has more than 15 years working experience in private sector Logistics Companies in roles such as Debtors Manager, Financial Accountant and Management Accountant. Mary has outstanding expertise in financial reporting and production of management accounts. She is currently working as a Group Financial Accountant majoring in consolidations for 13 entities around the African Continent. This contributes to her further understanding of corporate laws in different countries outside the borders of the South Africa. Mary has traceable in-depth knowledge and understanding of IFRS and GAAP. She has a natural passion in lecturing and sharing her knowledge with students studying Financial and Management Accounting.

Rhodes Derah MBA, Msc Econ, CIMA Adv Dip MA

Rhodes Derah is seasoned banker having worked for Standard Bank, FNB and Absa as a Strategy Analyst, Business Analyst and Management Consultant. During the time with the banks he was involved in strategic projects in the Payments systems, business units strategy realignment, developing customer segments value propositions and developing saleable business cases. He also has experience in the insurance having spent some time as a Financial Advisor at Sanlam Insurance. Rhodes is a telecoms expert after working for Cell C as a Business Engagement Manager helping the company to implement some strategic customer service projects across the organisation. Rhodes led a team of 20 consultancy for SINAGO Inc in conducting a Quality and Quantity Verification Project for the Gauteng Department of Housing. Also has experience in the public health sector having done some projects for Gauteng Department of Health. Rhodes performed a successful due diligence analysis at JonkerRhodes & Associates in the multi-million rand sell of a Diesel Depot in Meyerton in 2010. Rhodes’s training, facilitation and lecturing experience and interests spans over two decades. In corporate training Rhodes was part of the credit lending and Risk Management training at Absa, FNB Business Analysis Programme. Rhodes is part of other training initiatives at Da Vinci Institute of Technology, Milpark Business School and Pearson Institute of Higher Education.

Chris Akam BCom [Hons], CIMA CertBA

Chris com­pleted his CIMA Cer­tifi­cate in Busi­ness Account­ing in 2006 hav­ing obtained his BCom [Hons] Account­ing from the Uni­ver­sity of Buea in 1999. Chris has lec­tured for the ACCA Insti­tute and CIMA Insti­tute and has worked as finan­cial accoun­tant and cost accoun­tant for firms such as the Transnet Hous­ing Depart­ment, Zion Credit Financ­ing and the Cameroon Devel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion. Chris is a senior lec­turer at the Damelin Col­lege and lec­tures the fol­low­ing sub­jects: Finan­cial Account­ing, Cost and Man­age­ment Account­ing, Tax­a­tion, Eco­nom­ics, Sta­tis­tics, Finan­cial Man­age­ment, Auditing. Chris currently lectures ACCA (FM & MA) and CIMA (BA2 & BA3).
